Crock Pot Tater Tot Casserole

- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 32 oz bag frozen tater tots
- ½ cup chopped white onion
- 10 oz can diced tomatoes
- 10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Brown the ground beef and drain well. Or place the beef on a paper towel-lined plate and pat to absorb extra grease.
- Place half the tater tots into the bottom of a Crock Pot that you have sprayed with nonstick spray.
- Spread the ground beef over the tater tots
- Pour the tomatoes over the ground beef
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the tomatoes
- Spread the remaining tater tots over the soup
- Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
- In the last half hour of cooking, spread the shredded cheese over the entire top layer of tater tots.
- Replace lid and continue to cook until cheese has melted.
